Project Overview
Outerplates is a 1-4 Player Couch Co-Op Action Game where competing teams of astronauts have been sent to colonize recently discovered planets. In order to do so, the teams must compete to appease the native apex predator by cooking their favorite meals before they can finally plant their flag.Cook your way to the beast’s heart and expand your galactic empire!
With a core team of 12 students, Outerplates is a collaborative capstone project made in Unreal Engine over the course of 5 months.

Tech Art
Analyzed concept to determine where procedural modeling could be utilized in order to streamline development time and alleviate the workload for the art team
Produced tools for procedural assets within the environment to be manipulated by the art team, such as ruins and rock walls
Created simulated destruction on props
Created stylized animated materials, such as foliage wind, lava, and water
UI
Designed structure of UI alongside the tech lead and our outsourced UX designer
Implemented design through blueprinting
Served as liason between the team and our UX designer
Created and implemented 2-D UI assets
